Donna Karan
Donna Karan has always done polished sportswear well, so it’s little surprise that her collection is perfectly on-trend with this season’s running love affair with refined sportswear. Softly draped shirts, trousers and outerwear, roomy dresses with thigh-high slits and shirtdresses all had polished comfort front-of-mind. Many of the looks, however, came finished with a loosely tied bow around the models’ waists — a detail that seemed superfluous on nearly every occasion.

Elie Saab
White, black and a rainbow of pastels made for a beautiful eveningwear-focused lineup from Elie Saab. Each look was monochrome, and while draped and embroidered floor length pieces are always a strong suit for the designer, jumpsuits were this season’s standout — in particular, a black one with lace sleeves and swirling black embroidery.

Lanvin
Whether you’re looking for short and girly or long and tomboyish, this season’s Lanvin lineup has you covered. With a 70s flair — think loose, draped and slender pieces of fabric wrapped around the neck — Alber Elbaz showed a wide-ranging collection complete with his signature short party dresses as well as plenty of structured clutches and shoulder bags that should work to elevate the brand’s handbag status.

Gucci
From outerwear to boots, python was the name of the game at Gucci. Also in the mix, and serving to soften the more aggressive looks, was a new take on the brand’s signature flora print done in collaboration with artist Kris Knight, which made for some feminine floral separates and dresses.

Jean Paul Gaultier
It wasn’t the most exciting or the most wearable season for Gaultier with corset-accented, heavy printed eveningwear and layered daywear, but fringe tops and blazers with contrasting inserts made for standout pieces.
