The only show that came close to the Hollywood stunt was Chanel, but are you surprised? At the Grand Palais, Karl Lagerfeld constructed a Coco Chanel-themed restaurant, Brasserie Gabrielle, as the backdrop for his latest collection. After the opulent spectacle, Chanel’s mini model Hudson Kroenig presented Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner with his Coco Chanel doll, showing the fashion world that sharing really is caring.

Aside from the flashy photo ops, there were a couple buzzy debuts that need mentioning. Christophe Lemaire‘s successor Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, formerly of The Row and Celine, presented a luxurious nod to the French house’s equestrian heritage at the stables of the Horse Guards. Editors and buyers gave a unanimous two thumbs up. And then there was John Galliano, who showed his first ready-to-wear collection for Maison Margiela. The show-goers were so enamored with his creeping models, outfitted in furry shoes and bright orange hats, that they applauded not once, but twice. It’s good to be Galliano again.
