The press circuit for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is truly the gift that keeps on giving. In addition to serving us several extremely good Rihanna and Cara Delevingne red carpet #lewks, it’s now blessed us with a video of the latter correctly pronouncing all those tricky fashion designer names that, up until now, we simply avoided saying in public.
In the highly educational clip, a Vogue UK interviewer asks the selectively working supermodel and her co-star Dane DeHaan to pronounce such tongue-twisters as “Ann Demeulemeester” and “Alessandro Michele.” Prada favorite DeHaan — who, in his defense, has not the benefit of Delevingne’s many years owning the international runways — stumbles over nearly every syllable and mistakenly reads “Michele” as “Michelle.” He is all of us.
