Punk icon Iggy Pop has unveiled a new collaboration with Billabong and Sony Music’s Thread Shop, which features a bunch of boardshorts, graphic T-shirts, wetsuit tops and even a waterproof leather jacket (!).
The exclusive ‘Iggy Pop x Billabong’ collection is partly inspired by Iggy’s personal life and his well-known concert posters, which featured prominently in the 80s and 90s.
“I usually wake up and stay nude for three or four hours,” says Iggy. “And when I feel like getting formal, I’ll put on boardshorts. Life is better in boardshorts.”
One pair of boardshorts in the collection features Iggy’s pet cockatoo Biggy, while the waterproof leather jacket has been deemed “ocean ready”.
