Vegan Fashion Week Is Coming to LA Next Month

In addition to the usual fashion weeks held in New York, London, Milan and Paris every February, we have a new fashion event to look forward to this year. For the first time, Vegan Fashion Week will be held (appropriately) in Los Angeles, California, the largest city in the U.S. to ban the sale and manufacturing of fur.

Vegan Fashion Week will be a four-day event featuring brands that are cruelty-free with the goal of educating the audience on the ethical, social and environmental issues that revolve around animal exploitation in the industry. The event will include a runway show, talks at the Museum of Natural History of Los Angeles and a two-day event at the California Market Center where show-goers can interact with vegan brands and designers. The VFW will end with private fundraiser that will help emerging vegan designers.

“I want to ignite conversations and debates within the industry by educating, elevating, and drawing connections between our most important values: our respect for human life, animal rights, and the environment,” said the founder of VFW, Emmanuelle Rienda.

Rienda plans to continue VFW every year in different fashion-forward cities. Vegan Fashion Week will start on February 2, 2019 and tickets can be purchased here for $20 to $60 for a two-day pass.
