Prada Is Hopping on the Fur-Banning Bandwagon

The fashion industry loves trends. The latest? Going fur-free. Big fashion houses like Chanel, Burberry, Versace and Gucci have already pledged to stop using fur and now we can add one more to the list: Prada. And that includes all the brands under the Prada umbrella so Miu Miu, Church’s and Car Shoe will also join the movement.

The luxury house was using fox, mink and rabbit fur in its designs. Miuccia Prada said in a statement, “Focusing on innovative materials will allow the company to explore new boundaries of creative design while meeting the demand for ethical products.”

Prada plans to start the ban with its Spring 2020 women’s collection. We’ll just have to wait and see which brands follow suit.
