We’ve got to hand it to Stella McCartney. She’s really been surprising us lately. First, the designer unveiled a colorful collaboration with The Beatles. Then she picks experimental singer/producer/environmental activist/life coach Grimes to star in her new Adidas campaign.
For the Fall 2019 ads, Grimes models everything from “supportive” shorts to windbreakers any athleisure devotee will covet. And the more we think about it, the more sense the collab makes. The two sustainably-minded stars joining forces to push gear made of recycled polyester and plastic straight out of the ocean is a match made in heaven.
Grimes even had a little fun announcing the collection’s debut on her Instagram by outlining her strict training regimen that involves some tongue-in-cheek sword fighting, a few hours in a deprivation tank and a daily screaming session.
