Virgil Abloh is one of the busiest people in the fashion industry. From designing in-demand apparel via Off-White to serving as artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton, he’s got a lot going on. While he may seem superhuman, he still needs rest, just like the rest of us.
So it wasn’t too surprising to hear Abloh tell Vogue that all this traveling all over the world has worn him down. No need to worry, though. The designer assures he’s not seriously ill, but his doctors advised him to take it easy for the next few months. “Essentially I’m working from home for the next three months, and in large part all my marketing events I’m cancelling.” (That includes promotional appearances for his Nike and IKEA collabs.)
Although we won’t get to see Abloh take his usual victory lap after Off-White’s Paris presentation, we’re still excited to see what he has up his sleeve for Spring 2020.
