The Fall 2024 season of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week is officially ON! What better way to commence couture week than a morning with Schiaparelli? For his latest collection, Daniel Roseberry honored the couture house’s founder Elsa Schiaparelli with a masterful collection. The Texas-born designer who joined Schiaparelli as creative director in 2019 focused on the idea of rebirth, with Roseberry’s avant-garde designs reflecting stages of metamorphosis. Ditching the light-filled atrium of the Petit Palais into a windowless, dark space underneath the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, guests (like loyal Roseberry stans Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat) were immersed in theatrics and pure unapologetic glamour – each look illuminated from glow of crystal chandeliers during the salon-style presentation.

“Wow, what a collection. Daniel is brilliant, and the ways they’ve reintroduced this house is so beautiful. I love all the looks, the staging, the soundtrack- all of it. So pretty. This is what runway and couture are all about. Beautiful pacing, intimate lighting.” [jeremydante]
“I really like it! I feel like seasons after seasons, we are getting there, to something more subtle more refined.” [Lola701]
“I have a soft spot for him. He is so naive and old fashioned in his approach that I just can’t help but love it.” [avonlea002]
“I think this is a good collection, I definitely see Elsa’s late 1930s influences here much more than in previous. Though the walk of the models is annoying, shoes are bad as well, some platform sandals or wedges would have been way better.” [disco54]
“These are very impressive from a technical point of view. I don’t know much about dressmaking but it seems to me that the work here is beautiful and intricate.” [donyan]
“This is a good take on 80s/gaudy/ exaggerated but with a focal point.” [alwaysademo]
