Get the Look: Celebs Wear Vintage-Inspired Party Dresses

Sometimes it’s the little touches that take your outfit from average to enviable. Celebrities have stylists to calculate all the complicated nuances of putting together a look, but we aren’t all so fortunate. Luckily, tFS has put together some celeb-inspired styling tips and tricks to help give your look that extra oomph! This week, Blake Lively and other celebs show you three inspired ways to wear a sweet and summery vintage-inspired party dress.

Tip #1: Pair a Striped Tunic Dress with Ankle Boots Like Sienna Miller

Leaving the Theatre Royal Haymarket where she’s starring in the play Flare Path, Sienna Miller looked prairie-chic in a vintage striped tunic dress with suede Rag & Bone ankle boots and a tan leather satchel by Mulberry. Pick stripes in a summery washed-out palette with a fun full skirt like Miller’s.

Tip #2: Go Dotty Like Nikki Reed in a Spotted Party Dress

Nikki Reed looked ready to party in the polka dot dress by Camilla and Marc that she wore to the Step Up Women’s Network 8th Annual Inspiration Awards in L.A.  The dress is the perfect blend of a vintage-inspired A-line skirt with flirty tiers mixed with a more current body-con bodice and high neck. She finished the look with mauve suede point toe pumps. Don’t be afraid to throw in an unexpected colored shoe like Reed.

Tip #3: Mix Patterns in a Skater Dress Like Blake Lively

At an appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly, Blake Lively paired a shimmery blue floral Tibi skater dress with Charlotte Olympia leopard platform pumps. The dress featured a vintage-inspired fit-and-flare silhouette with cap sleeves and a full mini skirt. Don’t have the patience for thrift store scavenging? Take a cue from Lively and try a vintage-inspired skater dress in a bold pattern, then update it further with leopard pumps.
