Structure frequently reigns supreme at Balmain and intricate patterns receive preferential treatment from the French fashion house. It’s the brand’s somewhat straightforward black fitted dress, though, that was recently embraced by two singing superstars. Jennifer just showed off her new cropped hairdo in the label’s diamond lurex jacquard creation with padded shoulders at last month’s Black Girls Rock! event in Newark, New Jersey. She completed the look with a pair of Mado over-the-knee leather boots by Christian Louboutin. After the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn this August, Rihanna hit up some of the affiliated parties in the long sleeve V-neck dress.
