Hip Bones, Genies and Babydolls Rule the MMVA 2014 Red Carpet

Laura Vandervoort and Alyssa Reid

The Bitten actress attended in a sparkling, powder blue mini dress from The 2nd Skin Co. capped off by metallic pumps. Meanwhile, the “We Are Stars” singer sported a gold pencil skirt and white top (or it could simply be a two-tone dress) by an unknown designer.

Kiesza and Victoria Duffield

Breakout Internet star Kiesza dressed up like a genie that had escaped from a magic lamp, which I don’t think was international. Victoria wore the worst look of the night in a silver babydoll dress that she teamed with patent blue pumps and maybe a wiglet?

Kiernan Shipka and Chloë Grace Moretz

Now for the young’uns, Kiernan and Chloë. I love both these looks. Kiernan’s Marni is cute and age appropriate, while Chloë once again pushes the envelope just the right amount in a Marios Schwab dress with a bejewelled collar and unique suspender-like details.

Jena Malone and the Jenner Sisters

Jena, who I love even more after her energetic displays onstage, looked a little plain in her Paper London skirt and crop top, though the shoes are to die for. First-time hosts, the Jenner sisters, broke social media when Kylie wore vintage and Kendall came baring hip bones in her Fausto Puglisi high-cut number. Ordinarily I would ask, “What would her mother say?” but then her mother is Kris Jenner.
