If you’re a One Direction fan, chances are you’re curled up in the fetal position in a dark, damp corner after hearing the news that Zayn Malik is taking a temporary leave from the band’s “On the Road Again” tour. The good news? Zayn isn’t permanently quitting the band—yet.
“Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate,” a spokesperson for the band said, according to the Mirror. “The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta.”
Reportedly, the 22-year-old singer’s “anxiety” is stemming from a couple of suspicious photos that surfaced on Instagram Wednesday. In case you didn’t know, the little lady who Malik’s cozying up to is not in fact his fiancé. Woopsies! After cheating allegations were hurled left and right, Zayn tweeted Wednesday: “I’m 22 years old … I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there’s a lot of jealous f—s in this world. I’m sorry for what it looks like x.”
