Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.

On Friday, July 14, in the wee hours of the morning, the almighty Beyoncé took to Instagram to confirm two bits of information her eager hive already kinda, sorta knew. For one, her twins, one boy and one girl, go by Sir and Rumi Carter, respectively. For another, the Gemini duo was born on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

The pop icon revealed said information by way of an already iconic Instagram post. (By 10 a.m. EST on Friday the photo had already racked up more than 6.6 million likes.) The photo shows the 35-year-old singer holding the twins, her form bathed in sunlight and haloed by a turquoise veil. “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” reads the caption, followed by praying hands, heart and face emojis that we can safely assume represent Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Blue Ivy, Sir and Rumi.

The shot is similar in aesthetic to February’s internet-breaking pregnancy announcement, a collaboration between Beyoncé and artist and photographer Awol Erizku. (Both images liken the pop star to a modern day Mother Mary and feature impressive background florals.) A rep for Beyoncé revealed that Mason Poole photographed the belated birth announcement.

We’re happy to see that mother and children appear happy and healthy and hope that, in keeping with tradition, there’s a full photo shoot to come.
