Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) in 10 Things I Hate About You, 1999
This flick is famous for Patrick Verona's (aka Heath Ledger's) soulful performance of "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You" on the campus quad to impress antisocial Kat Stratford. But it's her blue prom dress we remember — along with our giddy feelings when the unlikely couple finally ended up together. Her silk floor-length gown represented Kat’s walls coming down and personified elegance.

We all loved Lisa Kudrow in Friends, but her style in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is one for the books. At the reunion, her pink metallic mini dress with fluffy faux fur lining screamed success (even if Romy and Michele didn't really invent Post-its).
