Being on the red carpet for any event is the biggest moment for any celebrity since all eyes are on them. Usually celebrities wear the latest styles from famous fashion designers. But that wasn’t always the case with actress Blake Lively.
In an interview with InStyle, Lively confessed that she used to wear popular casual brand Forever 21 on the red carpet, saying, “I wore Forever 21 much longer than I admitted. I just started saying it was vintage because I was so shamed for it.”

The actress is now routinely decked out in fabulous gowns and suits from luxury brands, like Ralph Lauren, Versace and Chanel. Lively also attributes her current sense of style to her mom and her role in Gossip Girl: “Well, everything I know about fashion is from my mama. She’s so creative and expressive in her choices. But then being on the show, I learned so much from the incredible costume designer Eric Daman. I also figured out what I was comfortable with.”
Sure, wearing Forever 21 is a big fashion no-no that even the late Joan Rivers would frown upon. But Lively can pretty much wear anything on and off the red carpet and make it look stylish.
