It looks like Alexander Wang and Raf Simons weren’t the only ones kicking it in Brooklyn this year. Designers went full-blown hipster on their Fall 2014 knitwear. Michael Kors and DKNY patterned sweaters with camo, while Dolce & Gabbana created a fairy tale full of woodland creatures on cashmere cardigans. Meanwhile, Miu Miu headed south of the border with a twangy, country-Western number that even Loretta Lynn would shimmy and shake in.
Leading the pack is London-based designer Bella Freud and her homage to the Beats, which was inspired by a short film she did with John Malkovich called Hideous Man. The front of the sweater reads “Ginsberg is God,” while the back says “Godard is Dog.” Preach, sister.
