Boutique music festival Mountain Sounds hit NSW’s Central Coast over the weekend, and a bunch of stylish festival-goers flocked into Mt Penang Parklands for the beats of Tkay Maidza, Kite String Tangle, Alison Wonderland, DZ Deathrays and a mix of local up-and-comers.
Fancy dress was the optional theming of the event, but most attendees looked to gypsy-esque flowing capes and kimonos, 90s-throwback grunge boots, vintage-inspired lace and tasselling, floppy hats, and, thankfully, flower crowns were kept to a minimum. Hallelujah, these Central Coast kids know what, and what not, to wear.
Check out our gallery below for our favourite festival wanderers off stage.

It wouldn't be a festival without some Spell Designs threads.

The hippy look is easier than you think. Printed shorts, a white boho blouse, mirrored-lens sunnies, a gypsy necklace, messy hair and voila, you're totes a free spirit.

Yes, they're brothers and, yes, they're in a band. Try not to get too hot and bothered over Little Earthquake's Matt and Justin Hyland.

Central Coast native Taryn Jane Henry just went with the flow, you know, in a printed Tree of Life cape.

Model Mimi Elashiry was happy killing it in Alice McCALL next to fellow babe Roberta Pecoraro, in a lacy crop by Icarus and SIR high-waisted trousers.
