Embroidered denim has been a fashion staple for decades and that's not about to change anytime soon. The pre-fall and fall collections of Adam Selman (pictured here), Jonathan Simkhai, Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant, Each x Other and Gucci were all about denim detailing — strategically placed cross-stitched flowers in particular.

When styling your brightly colored bottoms, keep things "simple" and commit to one hue or go the Eckhaus Latta route and reach for a subdued top with a subtle pop of color 'round the collar. Both John Galliano and Rachel Comey suggest pairing the style with a skin-tone top. (Galliano chose a sprayed-on tank, Comey a close-fitting floral button-down. See a trend?)
