Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner Are Bringing Short-Strap Bags Back From the 90s

If you were hoping the wave of 90s nostalgia was about to run out of steam, you’re pretty much out of luck. Trend bellwethers Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner are ushering in the next trend from the decade: those small baguette bags that fit snuggly under your arm. While all things 90s have wormed their way back into the fashion fold, the rise of short-strap bags may also be a response to all those strap-to-your-body belt bags, frequently sported crossbody.

Most of the current offerings are of the high-end variety (think Prada, Fendi, etc.), but we were able to track down several low-cost alternatives. And you might want to get a head start on this reemerging trend since you won’t be able to slide the bags’ shorter straps over your gargantuan puffer coat. (You could still take them everywhere if you’re willing to carry them top-handle style this winter.) Here are 15 short-strap bags that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the decade du jour.
