When you think of patchwork, you probably imagine some hand-me-down quilt. But designers are on a mission to change your mind. While patchwork isn’t a new concept in fashion (it’s even already trickled down to fast fashion), this time around it comes with a little edge.
Ulla Johnson, Ganni, Staud, Michael Kors and more gave it a cool update by working in bolder colors, modern fabrics (like leather) and different shapes and placements. And there’s nothing homemade about it. Make your patchwork pop by teaming it with bleached denim, a plain white top or moody florals.
