The Fall 2020 runways were full of trends. From neckties to fringe to belted blazers, there’s a lot to look forward to. But there’s one trend that’s already proving popular: built-in jewelry.
Instead of layering necklaces or stacking bangles on their respective models, designers decided to actually attach a bit of bling to their clothes and accessories. Necklace collars are the most prevalent, usually involving some form of chain-link bauble (see: Bottega Veneta). Then there are the bracelet bags, brooch accents and anklet-included shoes.
Our advice? Restrict yourself to one blinged-out item at a time. And, obviously, don’t add in any other jewelry. The whole point is to avoid having to accessorize after all. Full disclosure: Many of the pieces boasting built-in jewelry are on the pricier side. But considering you’re basically getting a twofer, the investment is justified. Rest assured, we were also able to find a few more moderately priced options. Zara’s already embraced the movement.
Scroll through the slideshow below to discover the best items with built-in jewelry that you can start wearing now. Because these fashion finds are bound to sell out if you sleep on this trend until September.
