First came athleisure. Then it evolved into glamleisure. Since the pandemic hit, loungewear is flying off virtual shelves. But soon we’ll be transitioning back to our offices and our new collection of sweats and thermal tees won’t exactly work for our nine-to-fives. Now Pinterest has the answer: athflow.
So what exactly is athflow? According to Pinterest, it’s when “athleisure meets elegance.” Some of the top searches include “home dress women,” “oversized outfit,” “soft outfit,” “cotton jumpsuits for women” and “co-ord outfits two pieces.”
Our interpretation? It’s relaxed, totally lounge– and workout-worthy, but still suitable for the office. (Both ones at and away from home.) In other words, only elevated sweats. Knit pants and dresses that are dressy yet comfy. And jumpsuits that’ll take you from yoga to a lunch meeting without breaking a sweat.
Obviously, you’ll need to flex your sartorial muscle in 2021. Because many of these pieces require a little creative styling. Layer a button-down underneath the aforementioned one-pieces. Complement your suave sweatshirt with tailored pants and polished loafers. If you want to go the co-ord route, show them you mean business by slipping a blazer on top.
Here are the key athflow pieces to kick off 2021 right.
