The popularity of “ugly” shoes can be confusing. We’re still trying to comprehend the rise of dad sneakers and Maison Margiela’s split-toe footwear. So when we first heard clogs were making their way back into the spotlight, admittedly we were concerned. But upon further investigation, we discovered the term cool clogs isn’t an oxymoron.
Case in point: Rachel Comey. The designer has turned into a one-woman clog army, churning out so many fashion-forward pairs they could fill a closet. Isabel Marant and Jacquemus have also gotten in on the action.
If you’re wondering how to wear them, you actually have lots of options. Slip a pair on after dressing up in your most stylish sweater and slightly cropped jeans. Swap out the jeans for a pleated skirt and you’re still good to go. When temps rise, sport your go-to set with your best spring dresses.
See the slideshow above for the cool clogs you’ll (almost) never want to take off.
