Affordable And Super Stylish Athleisure (Plus Where To Get Fancy Brands For Cheap)

I’m a pro at coming up with justifications for spending $150+ on an athleisure set. Mostly my thinking centers around needing to feel confident in what I’m wearing in order to have a good workout – and a good morning workout is critical for having a good rest of the day. There’s something about getting very physically challenging tasks done first thing in the morning that makes dealing with all the arrows thrown my way during the day easier. I also find I eat and sleep better when I have a good workout.

While price and quality often go hand in hand, they don’t always. I’ve had many $120 leggings slip and slide down my body while running. Conversely many affordable brands have felt great to move and sweat in.

Keep reading for a look at where to get affordable and super stylish athleisure.

Love and Sports

Walmart exclusive brand Love and Sports was created by fashion designer Michelle Smith (of Milly fame) and fitness instructor Stacey Griffith (of SoulCycle fame). I’ve gotten pieces for as little as $4. Their collection includes sports bras, leggings, sweats, jackets, swimwear and accessories like gym bags most of which have technical features like moisture-wicking fabrics, pants with pockets, reflective taping, metal zippers, drawstring shorts and roll-down waistbands. Note that the pieces – especially the sweats – run big so you might want to consider sizing down.

Otrium

Otrium is an online outlet that stocks a ton of deeply discounted designer athleisure. I’ve gotten pieces from brands like Koral, APL, Urban Savage and Varley for as much as 70% off.

Shop Premium Outlet

Shop Premium Outlet is another online outlet option that regularly stocks luxury brands for up to 70% off. Alala, Beyond Yoga, Michi, Sweaty Betty, All Access, Splits59 and Alo Yoga are just a few of the many brands you can find on the site on a daily basis.

Cotton On

Cotton On is not only affordable, they regularly have promo deals – for example two sports bras for $40 (versus $25 each). They also have hundreds upon hundreds of items to choose from, so while they mostly stock solid colored pieces, they do have some patterns and a wide range of silhouettes.

Gymshark

For season-less pieces you can wear over and over again, checkout Gymshark. Not only is the brand affordable, they are pretty high quality meaning their pieces will withstand a good amount of machine washing (just make sure to hang dry).
